The iPhone 6 is being lauded for its significant camera upgrade and can be comparable to a point-and-shoot, according to Gotta Be Mobile. This makes your mobile phone an even more powerful tool when it comes to using images for your blog. Avoid any copyright infringements by snapping your own beautiful images and editing them yourself.

Pixlr allows you to edit your images to create the perfect picture for your blog. Add effects, get rid of red eyes or crop an image all within the app. It also allows you to edit any image that is sent to you from team members, so your blog will never run out of images to use.

2. Evernote

Evernote is an essential app for any blogger. You can use Evernote to write down any spur-of-the-moment ideas or to compile and organize all of your notes. The app syncs with your computer, tablet and mobile phone, so you can start your blog post on your train ride and then finish it on your computer when you get home.

Evernote is especially useful for sites that have expansive blogging teams. Coordinate and share an editorial calendar to ensure that your team is always creating the freshest content. Create and share important content like editorial guidelines, image requirements and any other documents you may find useful to share with your team.

3. Slack

Because there are so many mediums to communicate through, it can be difficult to remain focused and organized. Between Gmail, Facebook, Twitter and texting, your team members might not remember where their information is or be more prone to browse through their feeds or share pictures of the puppy they just got. Enter Slack.

Slack allows you to create a messaging system exclusively for your team that is free from the many distractions other platforms have. Create specific channels for your team such as cool images to use, topic ideas, interesting stories or a funny gif section. You also can chat individually with team members without scrounging through multiple platforms.

4. Pocket

It can be difficult to constantly find inspiration for unique blog posts. Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Pinterest are all good avenues to find some inspiration, but there are plenty of other ways to find something more unique.

Pocket lets you find interesting articles and save them for later. Especially if you are always on the go, this app helps you keep everything tracked and organized. You also can tag articles to make them easier to find.

5. Flipboard

Instead of jumping back and forth from Wired to NPR to the Harvard Business Review for the latest news and insights, use Flipboard. It allows you to create your own personal magazine based on the topics of your interest and, more importantly, the topics related to your blog.
