Will Sherwood, CEO

Will has been in the advertising, graphic design, website design & marketing communications industry for over 30 years, since he was 16 years old, running a hand-feed letterpress, designing tickets, invitations and cards in his family’s print shop. And after all these years, he still looks forward to going to work each day and finding a new and inspired creative solution.

When working with clients, Will focuses on helping them meet their business goals, and in the process he often helps them double or triple their business. In fact, many of his clients find that his company not only stirs their imaginations with his creativity, but also leaves their competition shaken and wondering, “Now what do we do?”.

Our Client-First Philosophy

Hiring a Design Firm with sound business practices and creative design talent is not enough. It is important that your firm have a personal work ethic, with values and people that happily work with you to help you achieve your goals. The following are our operating principles:

  1. The client is always right (mostly).
  2. Creative expression is always directed by the client’s vision and goals.
  3. We value our reputation that we are easy to work with, with excellent results based on client goals.
  4. The Sherwood Group is always the calm at the eye of the storm as deadlines approach.
  5. All work is done within the time frame required by the client.

 

Creative Process

  1. Upon approval of our design proposal, we will meet with you to establish your marketing objectives.
  2. We will then formulate 2-3 (or more) design concepts that clearly convey the unique selling proposition of your product or service.
  3. Your chosen concept (or sometimes a combination of several) is then finalized and presented to you as a comprehensive layout so you’ll know exactly how your finished project will appear.
  4. We then refine and modify the layouts to incorporate your feedback and comments, presenting them as revised layouts for your approval.
  5. From this point, depending on the complexity of your project, we complete production and/or programming in several phases, incorporating your comments and feedback every step of the way through final completion.

Billing Process

  1. Best Deal: Though we recognize that this billing process isn’t for everyone, especially when we first start working together, you’ll get our best pricing deal if you allow us to bill you according to the exact number of hours required (at $125.00/hour) for completion of your project.
  2. Not-To-Exceed Quotations: If you prefer we can give you a “not to exceed” estimate that would change only if the scope of your project changes (i.e.: if you add additional pages, decide on a new direction, etc.) In this case, we would estimate your project based on the number of hours we believe it will take plus an allowance of 10% to 20% for “unforeseens.”
