How to Achieve Work Life Balance

Achieving work life balance is a key element to your success! As a father and a husband I learned early on in my career that working 16 hours a day was not going to cut it for my wife or my family life. Contact me for a one-on-one Work Life Balance Coaching Session!

What is work life balance?

The “work life balance” that I have learned to live by means simply spending equal parts of your time taking care of your personal life and your business. If you can spend two hours in front of your computer working each day then find the balance in you life by spending two hours eating a meal with your family and spending some quality time with your loved ones. Give yourself the opportunity to have both.

A work life balance definition:

Worklife balance is a concept including proper prioritizing between “work” (career and ambition) and “lifestyle” (health, pleasure, leisure, family and spiritual development/meditation).

Many young entrepreneurs and recent college graduates are getting ready to step out into the working world and grow in their career…

But, how do they achieve work life balance?

Life Work Balance

The importance of work life balance or life work balance cannot be overstated. Exercise and having a positive frame of mind is important in your life and in your work if you want to have great relationships. To be great at those to things simply requires a small amount of time management, life management and effort.

Wake up a little earlier in the mornings and go to the gym or run on a treadmill. Go swimming, jogging, cycling, etc. Find some exercise that you enjoy and make it a point to do that each day. You will feel better and be more productive throughout the day, without drinking loads of coffee or getting that 5 Hour Energy Shot in the afternoon.

Get a good nights rest and get up feeling fresh and ready to take on your day. Have a plan that includes exercise time, family time, work time and more family time in the evenings. If you are working 40 hours each week on your business then plan the time in your schedule to spend 40 hours each week relaxing with your family or doing things for yourself personally like a hobby or a choice of entertainment.

Harnessing the power of a positive work life balance can make all the difference in your day. If you want to learn more about living with a positive work life balance, contact us at The Sherwood Group.
